Spinlock's Deckvest 6D Life Jacket sets the standard, with a fit and finish beyond most other life jackets, and an array of new features - following on from its predecessor, the Spinlock Deckvest 5D. Suitable for everyone from experienced offshore sailors to weekend adventurers, this 170N offshore life jacket has a slim, low profile design that provides maximum manoeuvrability. The back profile has been enhanced for a clean, unobtrusive, fit, and there's a new shoulder system that ensures a comfortable fit all day, every day. In addition, the adult life jacket's non-snagging straps keep the life jacket secure and low profile enough that wearing it becomes a second thought. There's also a new improved front opening buckle with a smooth body adjuster system.
The Spinlock life jacket uses a new, pro sensor elite automatic inflator which is 13mm shorter and 4 grams lighter than the previous pro sensor inflator used pre-2018. This water-activated system operates using a compressed capsule that dissolves upon contact with water, triggering a spring to puncture the CO2 cylinder. The cap is specifically designed to activate only when water flows upward through the unit, preventing accidental inflation from rain, spray, or water running down the life jacket.
Should you fall overboard, Spinlock Deckvest 6D's 3D modelled buoyancy pockets ensure that inflation is fast, the user's airways are kept open, even they are unconscious. The re-designed life jacket sprayhood has a clear structured visor that is stored away from the neck, and Spinlock's hugely popular Pylon Life Jacket Light and DAME award-winning Lume-On Life Jacket lights are pre-fitted.
Spinlock Harness Release System:
A new innovation, the 6D life jacket is available with an optional harness release system, instead of a traditional harness. The system enables the life jacket wearer to detach from the safety line by activating a lever located behind the soft loop attachment point of the life jacket harness. This significantly reduces the risk of an accidental snag or release. The harness release system has been tested and complies with ISO12402 standards.
